Built With Vue.js

This is a sample website that I built with a goal of combining UIKit and Vue frameworks and learning more about that process. The design is my own, and the development is in-progress especially as I seek to set up each call to action as a web application component. I used Brackets as my text editor and the imagery is stock. This project is teaching me a lot about application organization, Vue syntax, and general best practices.

Rapid Build

As a small project for myself, I built a simple blog template. The goal of this project was to become more comfortable with rapid builds of a few hours. The design colors, fonts, and layout are based on a similar look I saw online. I used Brackets as my text editor and the UIKit framework. The imagery is stock. This project gave me confidence and helped me to realize how quickly I could develop something beautiful and useful.

Web Application Component

This is a web app component that I built with a goal of becoming more familiar with Vue single-page templates and using Vue-CLI. The design is my own, and the development is in-progress. I may continue to build new features such as recipe editing. I used Atom as my text editor and webpack to package.

Custom Framework

In a final project for class, I was challenged to build a front-end framework from the ground up using HTML and CSS/SASS. The goal of this project was to learn more about how frameworks work and to create something basic, responsive, and using SCSS syntax and CSS variables. I designed, developed, and wrote all the content for this project. I used Brackets as my text editor and Scout as my compiler. I had a lot of fun with this project and learned so much. Looking back, I might have made the colors more nuetral and added more components.

Data Generated

In a final project for class, I was challenged to utilize all of the major concepts we had learned during the semester. I designed, developed, and wrote all content using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, PHP, Handlebars, and the Skeleton framework. Images are screenshots from the game. This project was an excellent opportunity to dive into many tools and skills that were new to me.

HTML5 Canvas

In a final project for class, I was challenged to build an application using the p5.js library. My goal was to learn more about how to use the HTML5 canvas element and get creative. I designed, developed, and wrote all content using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the Brackets text editor. The background image and sound is stock. This project showed me how creative javascript could be by introducing a processing script. It was a lot of fun!! I loved working on this! My only regret is that I wish I had spent a little more time with the UI Design.
